Microsoft has confirmed that it is to bring consumers closer to its upcoming E3 press than ever before with the new product showcase to be streamed in real time across the global via Xbox Live.
Set to be held on the same day as the Sony press conference, Microsoft will kick off the Los Angeles based June 4th proceedings with its ‘Xbox: Entertainment Evolved' to get under way at 10am Pacific time, 6pm here in the UK.
Allowing gaming fans to get the low-down on all the latest and upcoming additions to their Microsoft branded console from the comfort of their living room, the Microsoft E3 2012 unveiling will take place prior to Nintendo’s confirmation of the final Nintendo Wii U features list.
Previously tipped to be planning the long awaited Xbox 720 release unveiling during its E3 2012 conference, Microsoft personnel recently confirmed that it has no intentions to out its next-generation console in the near future.
"While we appreciate all the interest in our long-range plans for the future, we can confirm that there will be no talk of new Xbox hardware at E3 or anytime soon," Microsoft’s head of corporate PR, David Dennis said.
"For us, 2012 is all about Xbox 360 - and it's the best year ever for Xbox 360. The console is coming off its biggest year ever-a year in which Xbox outsold all other consoles worldwide."
