Honda Recalls 554,000 Pilots and CR-Vs for Headlight Switch Wiring

2002-Honda-CR-V Honda is recalling certain headlight wiring components on 2002-2004 Honda CR-V and 2003 Honda Pilot SUVs that could malfunction.

The Problem: The wiring of the headlight switch could potentially fail, causing the low beam headlights to malfunction, which could increase the risk of a crash at night. The automaker says no crashes or injuries due to loss of headlights have been reported.

The Fix: Honda will begin notifying owners of potentially affected vehicles by mail late-April. Owners can bring their SUVs into an authorized dealer for inspection and repair, if needed, free of charge. The automaker says concerned customers can call Honda at (800) 999-1009, and selecting option 4 or online at www.recalls.honda.com for more information.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: Approximately 554,000 SUVs including 2002-2004 CR-Vs and 2003 Pilots.
